Jasmin Bhasin reveals why she has decided to never date an actor
Dil Se Dil Tak actor Jasmin Bhasin says that she is single till she doesn’t have a ring on her finger. She adds that no one is supposed to know about her personal life because that is supposed to be kept private.
Working together for long hours, co-stars in the TV industry often fall for each other; many have got married, too. Actor Jasmin Bhasin, however, is very clear that she won’t get into a relationship with anyone from showbiz.

A previous relationship that ended on a bitter note made her take this decision. The actor shares, “When I was a model, I met someone. I don’t want to name the person. But things did not go well. I was new and could not understand what was happening. But I have learnt my lesson. I will not date any actor for sure.”
Jasmin, who’s known for shows such as Tashan-E-Ishq and Dil Se Dil Tak, adds that the acting profession “drains” one out. “You get exhausted, there is no time to spend with family or friends and all this leads to mood swings. So, it would be really difficult for me to be with someone from the fraternity because he’ll have the same problems I have. We won’t be able to talk about anything besides the fraternity.”
About the public perception that celebrity marriages don’t last, Jasmine says, “Marriages break everywhere but because we are in the show business, it becomes news. In a marriage, two people try to make it work, and when that doesn’t happen, it ends. It has nothing to do with your profession. I think rather than being unhappy with somebody, being alone and happy is better.”
What’s her dream man like? “He should be a person full of positivity, hope and someone who’d become my strength. I think we all should be career-oriented. I believe your career is one of the few things that stay with you forever. It also gives you the confidence to lead a happy life,” says Jasmin.
Meanwhile, there have been reports that she is dating Suraj Wadhwa, a businessman. Prod her on that and she says, “No one is supposed to know about my personal life because that is supposed to be kept private. I am single till I don’t have a ring on my finger. When it’s the right time for me to commit to someone for life, I’ll talk about it.”
