Kiku Sharda has played multiple roles on The Kapil Sharma Show. And now, after the show has gone off air and Kapil Sharma has taken a break owing to his poor health and issues on the personal front, Kiku doesn’t want people to think that they will never return.

Asked about his reaction to the announcement that the show would be taken off air, Kiku says, “[The idea of] Emotional journey is connected to a wrap-up and this is just a break. Don’t make it sound like a wrap up,” says Kiku, adding, “We used to sit and decide on our scripts for the following week, and right now, we are not doing it. But this is just a small break and the show will come back. You ask me if I missed anything about the show, if you meet me three years after the show ends. It has only been 20 days and we will come back stronger,” says Kiku.

The 42-year-old actor, whose characters of Bumper, Santosh, Bachcha Yadav and Kaccha Yadav became popular on the show, feels people need to give Kapil a break, as he has been delivering good entertainment for many years now.

“Kapil had taken a bit more work on himself, because of which, he was genuinely unwell, and that is when we decided to take the break. Kapil has done so well for four years and made so many people laugh. So, if the man is asking for a two-month break, then let’s give it to him. He deserves it. Let’s be kind and gentle to him and let him relax. He is an important part in many people’s life,” adds Kiku.

It was also being speculated that Kiku might be a part of Sunil Grover’s new show, which is being rumoured to be aired on the same channel. However, dismissing these reports as mere rumours, Kiku clarifies, “I also got to know this news, recently. The last I heard, was that Drama Company was supposed to stay till we come back and only recently, I learned that a new show is being planned. Regardless of whatever is being said, I am a part of The Kapil Sharma show for all practical purposes, as and when the show comes back.”
