Krushna vs Kapil Sharma: 5 reasons why Comedy Nights Live is a fail
The first episode of Comedy Nights Live starring the all new team of Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh was out Sunday night and we were expectant. Will Krushna offer us new content? Will Bharti Singh be a drag or not? Will there be a Gutthi or her replacement?
But, most importantly, will Krushna be able to replace Kamil Sharma as the weekend comedy king on Comedy Nights? After going through audience reactions, it seems the answer is a very clear no. Krushna Abhishek is no Kapil Sharma and Comedy Nights is a sad rehash of Comedy Nights with Kapil.

Here are 5 reasons why we just hated and hated the new show…
1. No Kapil Sharma
Okay this one is a no-brainer. Krushna tried so very hard so that we forget Kapil that the efforts showed. Tame jokes, sad gags and not enough laughter – that’s what Kapil’s absence did to the show. The only saving grace was Bharti Singh.

2. No Navjot Singh Sidhu
If you found Sidhu’s laughter irritating, wait till you see Mika Singh in his chair. He grated so hard on our senses, we actually pined for Sidhu’s jokes and shers. Hell, Mika even lifted Sidhu’s trademark line, “Thoko taali.”
3. The same content
So we got a new team, a new name for the show but exactly the same format. There are people in drag, guests are roasted and it all ends with a question-answer session. Where is even an ounce of novelty?

4. Making fun of Kapil Sharma
While the entire format of the show is roasting, there was something petty about attacking Kapil Sharma who had a fallout with Colors and left the show with his team. Stop attacking a man audience clearly loves and find fresh content and jokes people!

5. We missed the gang
No Daadi, no Guthi, no Palak, no Raju… what we got instead was an irritating neighbor who was true to her nomenclature of being irritating without any of the comic relief.
