Nach Baliye 5: Eviction shocked Shefali and Parag

After Deepshikha Nagpal and hubby Keshav Arora, Kaanta Laga girl Shefali Zariwala and beau Parag Tyagi (from Pavitra Rishta) is the second jodi to get evicted from dance-based reality show Nach Baliye 5. The couple is still not over the shock of elimination.

“We weren’t expecting this. (Judge) Sajid (Khan) was most shocked and Shilpa (Shetty) was almost in tears. Sajid had said he sees us in the final,” says Shefali. “May be people want to see my bare body and that day I was all covered up (laughs). Janta toh janardhan hai,” adds Parag.

The couple was in the danger zone with Smita Bansal (Balika Vadhu fame) and husband Ankush Mohla. Did Smita’s popularity overshadow their dancing skills? “Smita stars in a very popular show, and has a huge fan base. But she cried on being saved and wasn’t accepting the judgement. That’s the relation we’ve built,” says Shefali.

What does she think of Rahul Mahajan, who has emerged a popular contender even though he’s not a great dancer. “Rahul is playing a very good game. He uses his personality in his acts. He’s giving people what they want. It’s a good strategy,” she says.

Shefali and Parag have been together for three years now. Any plans to settle down? “Parag is a kind of a guy who wants to get married. But right now, we are in a happy space,” says Shefali. “I’d love to get married soon but currently I’m busy with a TV show,” says Parag.
