Nausheen Ali Sardar: I respect Ekta Kapoor... but, in between, things went wrong

Kkusum actor Nausheen Ali Sardar shares that a miscommunication was created between her and TV producer Ekta Kapoor that, in a way, spoiled their friendship. She says that she admires Ekta a lot.

At the very start of her acting career, Nausheen Ali Sardar became a household name with the show Kkusum. Starring in that hit serial for five years (2001-2005), the actor became close to producer Ekta Kapoor. But, according to Nausheen, because of a miscommunication, she and Ekta are no longer in touch.

“I respect and admire Ekta a lot. She gave me my first break in Kkusum and people still remember me for the show. But, in between, things went wrong. Someone — I would not like to name [that person] — asked me a few questions about Ekta and then she misquoted my replies to Ekta,” says Nausheen, adding that what happened was really painful and she’s sure that Ekta is not aware of what was really said.

Ekta Kapoor gave Nausheen Ali Sardar her first break in acting.

All this has made Nausheen a little apprehensive and she has decided to not speak much about Ekta, so as to avoid any more misunderstanding. “I’ve stopped talking about her much,” adds the actor. However, she’s hopeful that things would get sorted someday. So will she work with Ekta if an opportunity comes? Nausheen replies, “I’d love to work with any good producer.”

We tried getting in touch with Ekta Kapoor for a comment, but our efforts were not met with a response.
