Raja Chaudhary, who had gone to rehab to cure alcoholism and control his anger, may soon be seen as himself on the big screen. The production house Gravity Media has approached the Bigg Boss participant to act in a film on his own life. “I recently met with the people who want to make a film on me, what happened in my life and how I made a comeback... The full narrative will be discussed soon,” says the actor.
Did rehab help? “Raja Chaudhary ko ab gussa nahi aata,” he replies. It was the electronic media, he claims, that ruined his image. “Sharabi Raja… danga kar diya Raja ne… maar pitai kar di Raja ne… the electronic media took a mike and shouted such slogans. Mujhe toh yaad hi nahi maine kisi ko maara ho. Can they prove that I was drunk? It was just a case of deep depression.” All this was used by his estranged wife Shweta Tiwari’s lawyer to take his daughter away from him, the actor says bitterly. “Uske lawyer ne iss sab ka fayda uthaaya. Earlier, I could meet her once a week, but now the court has sent me a notice that I can’t meet her even on Sundays.”
But he’s sure that he’ll be able to overturn the decision. “Definitely hataaya jayega,” says Raja. “It all happened in my absence. Koi kisi baap ko beti se milne se kaise rok sakta hai? Ye toh koi law hi nahi hai.”
But he has no hopes of getting back with his wife, one of the top actresses in TV. “Earlier, while Shweta kept insisting on a divorce, I wanted a reunion. But woh apne career mein aur apni doosri cheezon mein busy hai. I’ve asked my lawyer to get me a divorce. Saari duniya ka hota hai, humaara bhi ho jayega,” he says. “Now I have nothing to do except concentrate on my work.”
