Ramdev's yoga class for Gurmeet Choudhary at Delhi airport

Gurmeet says, “I remember I used to copy his belly movement in a dance step on Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa. It used to be the last move in some of my dance acts, after I had performed all the other steps. I used to get several compliments for it.”

Before Gurmeet Choudhary and his wife Debina flew to Khajuraho for promotions, the couple underwent a yoga session. While they were at the waiting lounge of the Delhi airport, they met yoga guru Ramdev, who was going for a shivir (camp). As the couple will soon be seen on a TV dance reality show, this meeting proved to be fruitful for them.

Ramdev gave them various tips on health and maintaining their stamina, and for improving their dance skills. “Meeting him at the airport was a pleasant surprise. Though he was surrounded by people, he took some time out for us. While we were chatting, I told him about our participation in Nach Baliye,” says Gurmeet.

Ramdev advised them to drink hot water in the morning, and practice Kapalbhati and Trikonasana. “These asanas are important for the body and help in building stamina. He also said that it’s important for us to look good in this profession and yoga can help us in unparalleled ways,” says Gurmeet.

Reminiscing about his association with Ramdev, Gurmeet says, “I remember I used to copy his belly movement in a dance step on Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa. It used to be the last move in some of my dance acts, after I had performed all the other steps. I used to get several compliments for it.”

Interestingly, Gurmeet has invited Ramdev on the sets of the upcoming dance show to watch them perform and suggest ways for improvement.
