Two women-- a mother and her daughter—are left bereft after the man in their life passes away suddenly. The mother leaves her little girl with her brother and moves to the big city to make ends meet. The child is left pretty much on her own by her uncle. Sad story but so true. It may strike a chord with some viewers.

Chutki, baby Roshni, looks endearingly innocent but her performance is affected. Chavi’s efforts to make Himani real are visible but not enough. A Marathi-speaking lady from the interiors of Maharashtra speaking chaste Hindi without an accent? Doesn’t work!

The actress also has a tattoo on her back that is a little too hip for Himani from the hinterland. A decent package but needs better direction.

What we like
Story… Simple but touching.

We don’t like
Poor direction
