Actor Sharad Kelkar, the show’s host, said that his association with the show has made him extra alert about different verticals in his life. “Considering the increasing rate in crime, where there is no demarcation between male or female, it’s our prime duty to keep the alert button on,” Sharad said in a statement. “Shooting for this series was thrilling. It was shocking to know that the rise in women criminals is a new trend. Several years ago women took a more passive role in crime,” he added.

The first episode will show the journey of a girl who was a victim of physical abuse. Because of the trauma, she ended up having complete distrust and hatred towards men and took revenge from as many as she could.

Another episode will show how a spoiled daughter kills her father who decided to disown her. “Shaitaan is a show that delves into the minds of the worst criminals the society has seen. Be it a man or a woman, when the mind takes its own turn, all controls fail. This weekend and the next one, we are coming up with two shocking real life instances that involve the frightening criminal attempts by women,” Nikhil Alva, from the show’s production house.
