The United States and Israel are reportedly working out a post-war plan for Gaza if Hamas is ousted from power in the Palestinian region. The plan includes possible options of sending peacekeeping forces to Gaza with US troops also on the ground. Another option is putting Gaza under temporary United Nations control. The Israel-Hamas war has claimed more than 8,500 lives in Gaza and has also killed more than 1,400 Israelis.
