As Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, marking one of the darkest days in the history, Russians staged mass protests across the country against their own president Vladimir Putin. Over 1400 Russian protesters were detained from Moscow and Saint Petersburg. There were reports of Russian police using force to contain the protests. Meanwhile, Russian celebrities too called out Putin's war-mentality and urged him to stop the violence. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also hailed the Russians and asked them to come forward and fight for Ukraine. This happened as the world united from New York, to Tel Aviv and London in protest against Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Watch this video for more details.
