Cyrus Mistry won a high-profile case at the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal on Wednesday. The NCLAT ordered the restoration of Mistry as the executive chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of Tata firms. The tribunal also held illegal the appointment of his successor, N. Chandrasekaran. Mistry had been ousted as chairman in October 2016. Petitions challenging his removal had been dismissed by the National Company Law Tribunal. Tata Sons has four weeks to appeal against the latest order.
