Dramatic surveillance footage from a Japanese hospital shows the moment a magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck southwestern Japan on July 28, sending an operating theatre into chaos while surgeons were performing an operation.
CCTV from the Japan Community Health Care Organization Kumamoto General Hospital in Kumamoto Prefecture captured doctors and medical staff scrambling as violent shaking threw equipment around the operating room. Surgeons could be seen desperately holding onto the operating table to protect the patient as the earthquake struck in the middle of the procedure.
