J&K CM on ‘home-grown terror’, INDIA bloc’s woes, BJP’s election machine | HTLS 2025

J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, at Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2025, warned that “home‑grown terror” and alienation among local youth remain the biggest challenges to lasting peace in the Union Territory, even as security indicators have improved. On national politics, he admitted the INDIA bloc is struggling against the BJP’s highly organised “election machine”, saying the Opposition needs a clearer narrative, better coordination and stronger booth‑level presence if it wants to seriously challenge the ruling party.
