Bangladesh minister scraps India visit; India says nothing to do with CAB

Hours after Bangladesh foreign minister AK Abdul Momen cancelled his scheduled visit to New Delhi, India has said that the decision is not linked to the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Addressing a press conference, MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that the Bangladesh minister has given an explanation and India accepts it as the official version. MEA further said that India appreciates the steps taken by the present Bangladesh government for the welfare of minorities.
