Congress on Sunday chose Bhupesh Baghel to be the new chief minister of Chhattisgarh from among four strong contenders; four days after the party came to power in the assembly elections. Bhupesh Baghel met officials at Governor's office today. He gave a letter to the governor's representative to form the government in the state. Baghel, who was the state unit Congress chief, will be sworn in as the chief minister in a ceremony that is likely to be held on December 17.
