ISRO chief visits Tirumala temple 2 days ahead of Chandrayaan 2’s launch

Two days before the Indian Space Research Organisation launches Chandrayaan 2, chairman of the agency visited the Sri Venkateswara temple in Andhra Pradesh's Tirumala. K. Sivan offered prayers at the temple before ISRO undertakes its most ambitious mission. Chandrayaan 2 marks India's first ever attempt to land a rover on the surface of any celestial body. The moon mission consists of an orbiter, a lander and a rover. The successor to Chandrayaan 1 will be launched towards the Moon on July 15.
