Congress released its manifesto ahead of the Assembly elections in Jharkhand while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh campaigned in the state on Sunday. Congress' manifesto focused on unemployment, lynchings, and farmers, among other issues. The party promised to pay an unemployment allowance, enact an anti-lynching law, and implement a farm loan waiver if it comes to power. Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh, while campaigning for the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party, raised the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status, and the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya. Congress is contesting in an alliance with JMM and RJD.
