Metro Matters: What can we do to make Delhi breathable?
As air pollution levels in Delhi rise, the city needs all hands on deck to fight this health emergency. In this episode of Metro Matters, a show on everything that matters to Delhi, Hindustan Times' metro editor Shivani Singh speaks to Sunita Narain, member of Supreme Court-mandated Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority and Prashant Gargava, member secretary, Central Pollution Control Board, about what residents can do to make their city breathable.
In the battle against air pollution, they ask citizens to become the “watchdog” and report violations. Narain urges residents to follow the ban on conventional firecrackers and keep the Diwali air clean. Gargava explains the ways in which citizens can make a difference.
