Prabhu Deva, Mohanlal, Shankar Mahadevan among 2019 Padma awardees

At a Civil Investiture Ceremony in the national capital, President of India, Ramnath Kovind conferred Padma awards on 55 of the 112 laureates for the year 2019. The Padma awards recognise exceptional contribution in the fields of art, social, work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade, medicine, literature, education, sports among others. The remaining awardees will be felicitated in a ceremony later.
