Six IAF personnel, one civilian killed after Mi-17 chopper crashes in Budgam district
An Indian Air Force Mi-17 chopper crashed in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district on Wednesday, killing six IAF personnel and one civilian. The chopper crashed near the Srinagar airport in an open field, near Garend Kalaan village around 10 am. The chopper broke into two and caught fire immediately. Both pilots died in the incident. The Srinagar airport has been closed for civilian flight operations following the crash.
