Activist Trupti Desai spoke on Samajwadi Party leader Jaya Bachchan's remark in Parliament. Trupti said the MP should not have said what she did and instead work on bringing more stringent laws against rapists. Post the Hyderabad incident, in Parliament about punishing the rape accused and said the rapist should be 'lynched'. Trupti countered the statement a day later and said the work should be directed towards government policies. Jaya had clarified her statement and said there should at least be one harsh example.
