UAE foreign minister meets PM Modi, S Jaishankar; terror, energy discussed
The Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Delhi. A day earlier, he had held a meeting with Indian counterpart, S. Jaishankar. The two sides discussed issues related to trade and investment, defence and security, energy security, counter-terrorism and people to people contacts, according to Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar. Sheikh Abdullah’s visit coincides with India’s increasing focus on energy security with oil imports taking a hit after the United States of America removed a waiver from sanctions on any nation buying oil from Iran.
