Watch: Modi meets Xi, says talks will add vigour to India-China friendship
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met and held talks with Chinese president Xi Jinping on June 9 on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meet. The meeting took place in the Chinese city of Qingdao which is hosting the two-day SCO summit. Tweeting after the meeting, Modi said they had detailed discussions on bilateral and global issues and “our talks will add further vigour to the India-China friendship.” The talks in Qingdao came nearly six weeks after the informal summit between them in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
