Ban on gold import won't be lifted: Chidambaram

Asking public sector banks to strictly follow the RBI and government guidelines restricting the inward shipment of gold, Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram pn Tuesday brushed aside any possibility of lifting the ban on import of the precious metal.
