Counter Terrorism and Warfare Jungle College to fight Naxalism
In order to combat Maoists in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, state authorities have set-up a 'College of Counter-Terrorism and Jungle Warfare'. The police personnel and paramilitary troops are trained in mock guerrilla warfare, as the motto of the college is to 'fight the guerrillas like the guerrillas'. According to Vishwaranjan Singh, Deputy General of Police (DGP), Chhattisgarh, the jungle warfare college is a very innovative way of making trainees face the ground zero reality of battlefield.
