Girls in J&K take to traditional sport ‘Sqay’

Girls in Jammu and Kashmir these days have taken to traditional sports called 'Sqay', for self-defence. The word 'Sqay' which means knowledge of war is a marshal art technique and was introduced in the state during the ancient times by King Dharya Deva. The sport employs elements of other Marshall Arts games karate and taekwondo. The girls from various schools and colleges are keenly learning this sport.
