IAF Chief not in favour of use of air power against Naxals

Addressing a press conference in Gandhinagar Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Air Chief Marshal P V Naik on Wednesday expressed his unwillingness to use the air force in ongoing anti-Naxal operations,saying the situation has not worsened so much to merit military action. Naik's comments came after Maoist rebels on Tuesday killed more than 70 police personnel in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
