Minor's death: Congress seeks stern action against policemen

Congress Party on Sunday sought stern action against policemen accused of raping and murdering a minor girl in Uttar Pradesh. The state government, headed by regional Bahujan Samaj Party, has so far suspended 11 accused cops of Nighasan Police Station in Lakhimpur District in the case. The girl, who was missing since Friday evening, was found hanging from a tree inside the premises of Nighasan police station. Eleven policemen posted there were suspended after her body was found.
