Police and civic authorities sponsored a peace rally in Nasik on February 14, to express solidarity and instill security amongst the north Indian migrant community in Maharashtra in the wake of recent violence in the city. A youth was killed and many injured during Raj Thackeray's MNS's violent anti migrant campaign, which had prompted many migrants to flee Maharashtra.
