Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari called for the safety of Indian prisoners languishing in Pakistan jails after a convicted spy, Sarabjit Singh succumbed to his injuries in an attack by the prison inmates. Manish Tewari told the reporters in New Delhi on Friday that they would take up the matter of the security of Indian prisoners in Pakistan with Islamabad. Meanwhile, BJP Leader Kirti Azad lashed out at the incumbent central government for inaction after the recent incidents of attack on the Indian prisoners and their subsequent death.
