Pookalam art heralds Onam festival in Kerala

People of Kerala are witnessing numerous events of Pookalam (flower art) competitions during the 10-day traditional Onam (harvest) festival that is being celebrated with customary fervour. Onam is marked with varied festivities and include women performing assorted dance performances and men playing musical instruments to celebrate the auspicious occasion.
