Tribes of Kerala get a taste of e-literacy
After becoming state with highest literacy rate in India, Kerala's Palakkad village is all set to become country's first e-literate tribal village. Attappady tribes of the Palakkad village live in one of the prominent forest regions and are perhaps one of the largest and poorest tribes, but that does not deter them from keeping pace with the world. Under the aegis of Kerala IT mission's “Akshaya” project, the tribes are being provided with basic training in the field of IT.
