Russia is betting big on deeper nuclear cooperation with India as Rosatom declares BRICS' “nuclear dimension” is growing stronger despite Western sanctions. Speaking in New Delhi, Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev said BRICS partners had overcome disrupted payments, logistics and supply chains together. Russia now hopes to involve India in fourth-generation nuclear projects while expanding cooperation at Kudankulam, where four of India's eight gigawatts under development use Russian technology. Likhachev also expects BRICS to account for over half of global energy consumption within two decades. Could nuclear power become the next pillar of the Putin-Modi partnership?
