Valley-based Kashmiri Pandit activist and chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Reconciliation Front chairman affixed two tricolours on the gate of Hurriyat Conference headquarters in Srinagar as part of 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign ahead of the Independence Day. The flags were however later removed by unknown persons. There has been no activity at the Hurriyat office in Srinagar since August 5, 2019 as most of the separatist leaders and activists are in jail. The chairman of Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is under house detention since three years.
