Russia rolls out military training in schools amid the raging Ukraine war. The Russian Education Minister said that Soviet-era basic combat training for students will be reinstated in high schools across the country. Students will be taught the use of firearms, response to a nuclear or chemical attack, and providing first aid. The Russian Minister said that the course will be added to the school curriculum. The Putin administration says that the course would systematically prepare citizens for a "possible confrontation with the enemy," state-run TASS reported.
