Tata-owned Air India close to order 500 jets; Here’s why the deal is historic in India | Report

Air India is planning to place a historic order of 500 aircraft. According to Reuters, the mammoth deal worth tens of billions of dollars is in its final stages. An industry source told Reuters on the condition of anonymity that the orders include as many as 400 narrow-body jets and 100 or more wide-body jets, including Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s and 777s.
