Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the West of weaponizing religion to “divide” and conquer the world amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. “Muslims are being set against Jews, calling for ‘war with the infidels’. Shiites are pitted against Sunnis, Orthodox Christians against Catholics. In Europe, they turn a blind eye to blasphemy and vandalism against Muslim shrines,” Putin said. Notably, Russia has been saying that the United States is responsible for the Israel-Hamas war.
