Russia has unveiled the new Molniya-13 heavy-class drone as Moscow accelerates efforts to expand its unmanned warfare capabilities amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Presented as an upgraded successor to the Molniya-2 platform, the UAV is designed to deliver greater payload capacity, improved survivability and enhanced mission flexibility on the modern battlefield. According to Russian sources, the Molniya-13 can carry payloads of up to 13 kilograms, operate at speeds of around 120 km/h and strike targets up to 50 kilometers away. The drone reportedly features a four-motor electric propulsion system and has already undergone testing in the combat zone.
