Germany is reportedly building a sweeping new security shield as Berlin warns that Russian hybrid attacks involving drones, spies, hackers and sabotage could intensify. The plan follows a reported failed drone attack on Leipzig/Halle Airport and would expand mobile anti-drone units across nine strategic cities, including Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt. Critical-infrastructure companies could even receive powers to actively counter drones, while facial recognition and A.I. systems hunt suspected spies and saboteurs.
