The UFC model, started by Italy in the 1990s, primarily aims to counter bids for permanent seats in the United Nations Security Council by G4 nations – India, Brazil, Germany and Japan. The UFC grouping, comprising Canada, Turkey, Pakistan and other nations is supported by China as “observer”. Watch this video to see how India’s representative demolished the UFC model with point-by-point rebuttal.
