Day After Hamas Briefed Hezbollah, Lebanon Group Launches Massive Rocket Attack On Israel | Gaza War

The Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah announced a new series of attacks against Israeli military sites and soldiers on July 6. In a statement, Hezbollah said it launched an aerial attack using a swarm of suicide drones on the artillery position of the 403rd Battalion of the 91st Brigade in Beit Hillel. This was in response to the IDF's killing of a prominent member of Hezbollah's air defence unit on Saturday. The IDF said that it killed Maytham Mustafa al-Attar in a drone strike in northeastern Lebanon. Meanwhile, Hamas has accepted a US proposal to begin talks on releasing Israeli hostages. Hamas has dropped a demand that Israel first commit to a permanent ceasefire before signing the agreement, and would allow negotiations to achieve that throughout the six-week first phase.
