One more soldier has died fighting the militants from Hamas' armed wing in the Gaza strip. This raised the death toll of Israeli soldiers killing in the Gaz ground operation to 189. The Al-Qassam Brigades have been ruthless in their counter-attacks on forces in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, Israel Army Chief, Lt Gen Herzi Halevi, admitted to battles reigniting in areas in the besieged Palestinian enclave where Israeli forces had already finished fighting. The Israel Army's chief of staff had reportedly warned the Benjamin Netanyahu government that "we are seeing our achievements so far worn down because there is no strategy for the future."
