Syrian media reported that Israel carried out an airstrike on Damascus airport as well as other positions south of the capital which killed 5 Syrian soldiers and caused material damages. State news agency SANA reported that the strikes happened after Friday midnight and that Syrian military shot down some of the Israeli missiles before it reached its targets. Meanwhile, the Israeli army declined comment and said that it does not react to 'foreign reports.'
