U.S. President Donald Trump has sharply criticised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, suggesting Ukraine needs a new leader who can negotiate a deal. Trump also demanded that Kyiv stop striking Russian fuel infrastructure, arguing that refinery attacks create a global problem. His remarks add pressure on Ukraine over its military strategy and approach to negotiations. Separately, asked whether Washington would join Saudi strikes against the Houthis, Trump said the US “may” participate and would review the latest attack before deciding. This report examines his comments on Ukraine’s leadership, Russian refineries and possible American involvement in Saudi military action against the Houthis.
