U.S asks India to shun Russian oil; 'Ready to be India's reliable supplier'

The United States is ready to support India in diversifying its energy imports, the White House said, reiterating its desire that New Delhi does not purchase oil from Russia amid American sanctions on Moscow for invading Ukraine. The White House reiterated that there would be consequences over the violations of sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States and that the same has been conveyed to India already by Deputy NSA Daleep Singh.
