Shekau warns the people of Chibok that “you have not seen the worst yet,” and laughs maniacally. Nearly 300 girls were kidnapped from a government school in Chibok in April 2014 and 217 remain missing.

Nigeria’s military, meanwhile, reports at least four soldiers were killed and 16 wounded when extremist fighters on Sunday exploded a land mine and ambushed a convoy near the northeastern town of Bama, where the governor of Borno state has set up temporary headquarters to encourage refugees to return home.
