6.2-magnitude quake strikes in Fiji region: USGS

A US monitoring agency says a 6.2-magnitude earthquake has struck in the South Pacific off the coast of Fiji.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage after the temblor hit at 1613 GMT (12:13 p.m. EDT) on Tuesday.
The US Geological Survey says the quake was centered 90 miles (145 kilometers) northeast of Lambasa on the island of Vanua Levu at a depth of 6.2 miles (10 kilometers).
Vanua Levu is the second largest of the Fijian islands.
