The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) said a makeshift hospital at Mullivaikal was hit on Tuesday morning and those who were wounded in a shelling over the weekend were hit again.

Sri Lanka's military denies using heavy weapons in the area and in turn accuse the Tigers of attacking civilians who attempt to escape the small patch of land still under their control.
