Lennon's letters sold for $500,000

Legendary Beatle John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has handed over his letters to a British book company, reportedly for over $500,000. Publishers at Orion Books plan to release the letters in 2012, reports contactmusic.com.

Legendary Beatle John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has handed over his letters to a British book company, reportedly for over $500,000.

Publishers at Orion Books in London now own the intellectual property rights to the letters and they plan to release the letters in 2012, reports contactmusic.com.

"For the most part they have never been seen before... They're full of wonderful drawings. They are funny, sad and very human letters," said Alan Samson of Orion Books.
